Michael O'Neal, Author

(C) 1994.

HISTORY-

- Literary works include grim ghost tales such as "A Christmas Carol" by Dickins.

- Greek general Pausanias was found guilty of treason and entombed alive.
- Only until a socerer put his soul to rest did the haunting stop.

- Who Believes in ghosts?
- A 1990 poll showed that
- 1:4 Americans believed in ghosts.
- 1:10 have believed that they experienced a ghost.

- Many religions are based on paranormal events in which mankind cannot explain.

HAUNTINGS-

- 2 types of hauntings:
- Residual, recorded events like a video tape played over and over.
- Historical events; tragedies; over commited emotional conduct on a location.

- Apparitions:
- Apparition of the living.
- Experimental Apparition (ESP)
- Crisis Apparition
-Apparition of the Dead
-Haunting apparition

- Poltergeists are in question by parapsychologist as to whether they are or are not actual
hauntings. May be caused by PK in adolescent teens.

Example: (Marilyn Monroe) Apartment in Manhattan

"Did Marylin Monroe commit suicide?"
-Monroe died in 1962 due to O.D. on sleeping pills, or so told...
- Contact : Myers painted a portrait of Monroe that lead to strange occurances. Lights flickering, Monroe apparition...

METHODS OF MANKIND TO SPIRIT COMMUNICATION-

- Seances
- Oujia Boards
- Mediums

EXPLAINATIONS FOR HAUNTINGS -

- Every day noises
- Psychic Impressions
- Hallucinations
- Retrocognition (A manifestation of personal psychic energy.)
- Person dies and human personality lives on to give off energy that can be read.
- Telepathy
- Psychometry - object will give off past energy; object gives off a glance of the past.

- Field Theory : A person cannot be seperated from he/r field of which they are part of. Indivisible
part of the whole universe. You are a key to the puzzle where you are and if you are taken
out the puzzle is not complete and may disrupt the rest of the "big picture."

BASIC PROTOCOL FOR INVESTIGATIONS -

- Interview witnesses. Gather information about history and occurances.
- Site Examination - Record occurances of present walk through.
- Decipher occurances and look for natural causes.
- Look for answers

All experimental procedures that are more complicated are based on the scientific method.

SPIRIT PHOTOGRAPHY/KIRLIAN PHOTOGRAPHY -

- 1940's, Semyon Kirlian discovered this principle:
" Nonelectrical properties of a person (or object) can be converted into electrical
impulses, which can be recorded on photographic film."

- Living things are surrounded by an aura, envelope of energy that is imperceptible, except
to a few psychics who claim to see it.

INVESTIGATION HISTORY -

- Gertrude Schmeidler, prof. of psychology at NYC.
Steps included:
- Stake out of the house.
- Gain floor plans and architectural structure plan.
- Psychic run through (9) w/ words to describe... friendly, immature, vindictive, etc...

MISC. INFORMATION - (COURT SYSTEM ON THE PARANORMAL)
- 1990, Conneticut court award $40 to a woman whose house was haunted.

- A NYC court heard a case about a man who hired a architect (for $32,000) but
hiree refused to work due to the haunting nature of the building. Court granted
the owner the right to sue the real estate broker who sold him the house.
